Ideal Energy
Brief Outline of the Project
Ideal Energy Inc. is a Fairfield based business dedicated to optimizing energy efficiency. We offer auditing services for residential and commercial buildings, Energy Star rating for new construction, and high performance/renewable design services for new construction. We stay up to date on the latest technologies for energy systems, rebates, tax incentives, and building methods, so we can help you achieve maximum results at the minimum cost. We also work on the municipal level, and are just completing the official greenhouse gas emission report for Fairfield, and also developed Fairfield’s Go-Green Guide.
Why do it and what motivates you?
What motivates Ideal Energy? I would say that it’s our changing environment and the need to provide more solutions towards the worlds increasing demand for clean energy but there is much more. There is a new trend that is taking place. Society is coming together like never before. Our increasing demands for clean energy solutions has changed our society to reflect innovation cooperation and higher standards. Our environment demands this of us. It is due to these increasing trends of harmonious relations that inspires Ideal Energy to move forward. We have created our company around the concept of better Energy or “Ideal Energy.” What that means to us is maximizing how efficiently we use energy, finding new solutions for clean energy, and delivering these solutions to everyone at a price that is affordable.
Your vision, for your project AND for Fairfield as a sustainable community:
We want to see Fairfield leading the green revolution, while blazing a trail for others to follow. Ultimately, we want city-wide carbon neutrality, and to see all Fairfieldians living and working in sustainable, healthy environments. Buildings don’t have to be part of a climate problem; they can be part of a solution.
Your philosophy of sustainability:
Efficiency is the foundation of sustainability. At Ideal Energy, we’re big fans of renewable energy. But the first step in creating a sustainable future is cutting back excessive energy use. If you can fine-tune your home so that it’s using 40% less energy, your home would require a photovoltaic system that is 40% smaller, which ultimately provides a greater payback period. Efficiency first.
The Big Picture (how your project fits into the larger Sustainability Project):
Achieving a benchmark in sustainability comes through working together as a community. We all have to be responsible and participate in getting our city to its goal. Efficiency on the city-level is achieved by addressing each building, which requires a commitment from the building owner. At Ideal Energy, we do our part by creating a path to efficiency for the owner to follow. We’ve been very fortunate to work with both the City and the Green Business Council of Fairfield, in creating an overall efficiency plan. If we can reduce the energy requirements of our built environment by 20%, that’s an overall reduction for the city of 20%. And that translates into a 20% saving for you. Jump in and do your part!
One thought for the community and City of Fairfield:
We could all use greater efficiency in our lives, whether it’s how we manage our daily routines, or fine tuning our homes so that we don’t have to work as hard to pay high utility bills. Eliminating the excess is the first step towards creating a sustainable future.
How others can get involved:
Making an efficiency plan for your household! This will hedge you against rising utility costs, and help to contribute to the overall sustainability of our city. We recommend scheduling an in-depth energy audit, so that you can understand how your home is using energy, and what areas of improvement will have the greatest payback.
