Without the passion of the citizens there would be no Go Green Plan. Our Citizen leaders are devoted business people, civic leaders, farmers, teachers, sustainability experts, and families with a commitment for making the place we call home clean, safe, healthy and now and for future generations.

The great thing about passion is that it is contagious. We want everyone – not just in Fairfield, but literally everyone and anyone who will listen and who cares about our community, about making Iowa a better place and decreasing our impact on the globe – to know about the Plan, and be part of it. We want to be a model to other communities. We want to get the message out that building a sustainable city is not only possible, but necessary.
