Green Business Council

When it comes to the Go Green Plan and specifically the business community, we believe we gain our strength and ensure our success by acting in harmony with the environment while makes practical choices that make sense in the short and long run.

The Green Business Council (GBC) of Fairfield and Jefferson County was formed to harness our collective passion for our home and for helping it prosper.

The purpose of the GBC is to move forward Fairfield’s energy efficiency and sustainability goals among the business community and other large users of energy and resources (e.g. hospitals, churches, government offices, schools, colleges, etc.). We believe that we can achieve these goals far more effectively as a community than as individual entities sharing our knowledge and experiences, of what works and what approaches have the best payback.

We have many invaluable resources in this community and we hope the GBC will serve as a focal point for gathering those resources and focusing them on effective and practical programs that will make a difference to the community and our bottom lines.

Please look here for regular updates from Mayor Ed Malloy and others who are moving ahead to make Fairfield a model sustainable community.
